Bishop Antonino Eugénio Fernandes Dias was named Bishop of Portalegre-Castelo Branco, Portugal.

The diocese had been vacant since then-Bishop José Francisco Sanches Alves was named Archbishop of Évora in January 2008.

Bishop Fernandes Dias had been serving as an Auxiliary Bishop of Braga.

Martin Buisson retired, Galbusera Fumagalli succeeded as Pucallpa Vicar Apostolic

Bishop Juan Luis Martin Buisson, P.M.E. retired and Bishop Gaetano Galbusera Fumagalli, S.D.B. succeeded as Vicar Apostolic of Pucallpa, Peru.

Bishop Galbusera Fumagalli had been serving as Coadjutor Vicar Apostolic of the same jurisdiction.

Cardinal Innocenti Died

Antonio Cardinal Innocenti, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for the Clergy, has died. He had turned 93 just a fortnight ago and had served as a priest for 70 years, as a bishop for 40 years, and as a cardinal for 23 years. May he rest in peace.
