Cardinal Bevilacqua Died (emeritus of Philadelphia)

Anthony Joseph Cardinal Bevilacqua, Archbishop Emeritus of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, has died.

He was 88 years old and had served as a priest for 62 years. He had also served as a bishop for 31 years and as a cardinal for 20 years.

He would have turned 100 years old in March. He served as a priest for 76 years and as a bishop for 56 years.

He attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council.
