Cardinal Sterzinsky Died

Georg Maximilian Cardinal Sterzinsky, Archbishop Emeritus of Berlin, Germany, has died.

He was 75 years old and had served as a bishop for 21 years.

Yesterday was the 51st anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.

The day before was the 20 anniversary of his elevation to a cardinal.

May he rest in peace.

Bishop Daniel Francis Walsh resigned and Bishop Robert Francis Vasa succeeded as Bishop of Santa Rosa in California, USA.

Bishop Vasa had been serving as Coadjutor of the same diocese.
