Pekhon, Myanmar erected; Hla named Bishop
The diocese of Pekhon, Myanmar was erected with territory taken from the archdiocese of Taunggyi. Bishop Peter Hla was named its first bishop. He had been serving as an Auxiliary Bishop of Taynggyi.
