Archbishop Joseph Powathil retired and Archbishop-designate Joseph Perumthotttam was named Archbishop of Changanacherry (Syro-Malabarese), India. Archbishop-designate Perumthottam had been serving as an Auxiliary Bishop of the same archeparchy.
