Bishop Lino Vomboemmel, O.F.M., Bishop Emeritus of
Santarém, Para, Brazil, has died. He was a fortnight past his 73rd birthday and he had served as a priest for 44 years. He passed away about 10 days before his 26th anniversary of consecration as a bishop. May he rest in peace.
