Erected: Rutana, Burundi; Nahimana named Bishop

The Diocese of Rutana, Burundi was erected with territory taken from the dioceses of Bururi and Ruyigi.

Bishop-elect Bonaventure Nahimana was named the first Bishop of the new diocese.
