Archbishop-elect Cyril Vasil', S.J. was named Secretary of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches and titular archbishop of Ptolemais in Libya.
The post had been vacant since Archbishop Antonio Maria Vegliò was named President of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People in February 2009.
