Bishop Pierre René Ferdinand Raffin, O.P. retired and Bishop Jean-Christophe André Robert Lagleize was named Bishop of Metz, France.

Bishop Lagleize had been serving as Bishop of Valence (-Die-Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux).
