Archbishop Michel Christian Cartatéguy, S.M.A. resigned and Archbishop-designate Djalwana Laurent Lompo was named Archbishop of Niamey, Niger.

Archbishop-designate Lompo had been serving as Auxiliary Bishop of the same archdiocese.
