Edwin Frederick Cardinal O’Brien retired as Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
Fernando Cardinal Filoni, who had been serving as Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, was named as his replacement.
In turn, Luis Antonio Gokim Cardinal Tagle, who had been serving as Archbishop of Manila, Philippines, was named as the new Prefect.
