Bishop-elect Miguel Ángel Cadenas Cardo, O.S.A. was named Vicar Apostolic of Iquitos, Peru.

The vicariate had been vacant since the death of Bishop Miguel Olaortúa Laspra, O.S.A. in November 2019.
