Archbishop José Rodríguez Carballo, O.F.M. was named Coadjutor Archbishop of Mérida-Badajoz, Spain.

He had been serving as Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life Secretary which he retains until 31 Oct 2023.
