Random Cardinal Charts (updated), stats, and a related note

I've had an opportunity to mess with the databases and update the Cardinal Charts.

The Charts (Warning: PDF format)

The charts are:
  • Number of Cardinals (1585-2020; 1915-2020; and 1965-2020)
  • Average Age (1585-2020; 1915-2020; and 1965-2020)
Enjoy :-)

Also a few interesting statistics:

Average since 1585: 72 Electors of 82 Total
  • Current Average Age of All Cardinals: 78.48
    Average since 1585: 64.4
Highest since 1585: 78.54 was in November 2010, just before the last Consistory to Create Cardinals
If no one dies, we'll tie that around 8 December (in under 3 weeks)
  • Current Average Age of Cardinal Electors: 72.9
    Average since 1585: 63.7
  • Current Average Years of Service as a Cardinal: 12.5
