Bishop Jesús Antonio Lerma Nolasco was named Bishop of Iztapalapa, México.

Bishop Andrés Vargas Peña was named Bishop of Xochimilco, México.

All three had been serving as Auxiliary Bishops of México.

Toluca elevated to Archdiocese, Chavolla Ramos named Archbishop

The Diocese of Toluca was elevated to the Archdiocese of Toluca.

    He would have turned 91 tomorrow. He had served as a cardinal for 8 years. He had also served as a priest for 66 years and as a bishop for 26 years.
