Cardinal Vela Chiriboga Died

Raúl Eduardo Cardinal Vela Chiriboga, Archbishop Emeritus of Quito, Ecuador, has died.

He was 86 years old and would have celebrated 10 years as a cardinal next week. He served as a bishop for 48 years and as a priest for 63 years.

May he rest in peace.
