Pointe-Noire and Owando made Archdioceses

The dioceses of Pointe-Noire and Owando were both elevated to Archdioceses.

The Archdiocese of Pointe-Noire, Congo was given the suffragan dioceses of Dolisie and Nkayi.

Miguel Ángel Olaverri Arroniz, S.D.B., who had been serving as Bishop, is now Archbishop-designate.


The Archdiocese of Owando, Congo was given the suffragan dioceses of Impfondo and Ouesso.

Victor Abagna Mossa, who had been serving as Bishop, is now Archbishop-designate.


All of the dioceses were formerly suffragans of Archdiocese of Brazzaville.
