Bishop-elect Jean (John) Bosco Baremes, S.M. was named Bishop of Port-Vila, Vanuatu, Pacific (Oceania).
The diocese had been vacant since the death of Bishop Michel Visi in May 2007.

Bishop Visi Died
Bishop Michel Visi, Bishop of Port-Vila, Vanuatu, Pacific (Oceania), has died. He was 52 years old and had served as a priest for 24 years and as a bishop for 10 years. May he rest in peace.
