Slovenia Changes

The dioceses of Novo Mesto, Celje, and Murska Sobota were erected. The first with territory from the Archdiocese of Ljubljana and the other two with territory from the diocese of Maribor which was, at the same time, elevated to an Archdiocese with the two new dioceses as suffragans.

Bishop Andrej Glavan was named Bishop of Novo Mesto.
Bishop Anton Stres, C.M. was named Bishop of Celje.
Bishop-elect Marjan Turnšek was named Bishop of Murska Sobota.
Franc Kramberger was named Archbishop of Maribor.
