Bishop-elect Michel Pansard was named Bishop of Chartres, France. The diocese had been vacant since then-Bishop Bernard-Nicolas Aubertin, O. Cist. was named Archbishop of Tours in June. Bishop-elect Pansard had been serving as a priest of the diocese of Nanterre.
