Bishop John Joseph Leibrecht retired and Bishop-elect James Vann Johnston, Jr. was named Bishop of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Missouri, USA. Bishop-elect Johnston had been serving as a priest in the diocese of Knoxville, Tennessee.
