Ajmer and Jaipur split; Lewis named Jaipur Bishop
The diocese of Ajmer and Jaipur, India was split into Ajmer and Jaipur. Bishop Ignatius Menezes now becomes the Bishop of Ajmer. Bishop Oswald Lewis was named the Bishop of Jaipur. He had been serving as Coadjutor Bishop of Meerut.
