Mixa named Augsburg Bishop

Bishop Walter Mixa was named Bishop of Augsburg, Germany. He had been serving as Bishop of Eichstätt since 1996 and he remains the Military Ordinary for Germany. The diocese of Augsburg had been vacant since Bishop Viktor Josef Dammertz, O.S.B. retired in June, 2004.
