Fiorenza retired, DiNardo succeeded as Galveston-Houston Archbishop
Archbishop Joseph Anthony Fiorenza retired and Archbishop Daniel Nicholas DiNardo succeeds him as Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, TX, USA. Archbishop DiNardo had been serving as Coadjutor Archbishop of the same archdiocese.

Filoni named Nuncio to Philippines
Archbishop Fernando Filoni was named Apostolic Nuncio to Philippines. He had been serving as Apostolic Nuncio to Iraq and Jordan.
Cleary retired, Ellison named Banjul Bishop
Bishop Michael J. Cleary, C.S.Sp. has retired and Bishop-elect Robert Patrick Ellison, C.S.Sp. was named Bishop of Banjul, Gambia. Bishop Cleary has served in that role for 25 years.

Valenzuela Mellid named Chaco Paraguayo Vicar
Bishop-elect Edmundo Ponziano Valenzuela Mellid, S.D.B. was named Vicar Apostolic of Chaco Paraguayo, Paraguay and titular bishop of Uzalis. The Vicariate had been without an ordinary since Bishop Zacarías Ortiz Rolón, S.D.B. was named Bishop of Concepción (Santissima Concezione) en Paraguay) in July 2003.
