Paul Augustin Cardinal Mayer, O.S.B., President Emeritus of the Pontifical Commission “Ecclesia Dei”, has died.
He was almost 99 years old and the most senior Cardinal by age. He had served as a priest for 74 years, as a bishop for 38 years, and as a cardinal for almost 25 years.
