Bishop Guillermo Patricio Vera Soto was named Bishop of Iquique, Chile.

The diocese had been vacant since the resignation of Bishop Marco Antonio Órdenes Fernández in October 2012.

Bishop Vera Soto had been serving as Bishop of San Juan Bautista de Calama.

Bishop António Francisco dos Santos was named Bishop of Porto, Portugal.

The diocese had been vacant since then-Bishop Manuel José Macário do Nascimento Clemente was named Patriarch of Lisboa {Lisbon} in May 2013.

Bishop dos Santos had been serving as Bishop of Aveiro.

Mwasikwabhila Nyaisonga named Mpanda Bishop

Bishop Gervas John Mwasikwabhila Nyaisonga was named Bishop of Mpanda, Tanzania.

The diocese had been vacant since the death of Bishop William Pascal Kikoti in August 2012.

Bishop Mwasikwabhila Nyaisonga had been serving as Bishop of Dodoma.
