Lyrio Rocha named Mariana Archbishop
Archbishop Geraldo Lyrio Rocha was named Archbishop of Mariana, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The archdiocese had been vacant since the death of Archbishop Luciano Pedro Mendes de Almeida, S.J. in August 2006. Archbishop Lyrio Rocha had been serving as Archbishop of Vitória da Conquista.
