As ya'll probably already know, the USA switches to Daylight Saving Time tomorrow morning. Unfortunately the same switch in Europe does not occur until 3 weeks later.
This creates a problem.
The daily Vatican Press Releases (which include bishop changes) are usually released between 12.15n and 12.30n Rome time. That normally translates to 5.15a to 5.30a USA Central time (my timezone). However with the Daylight Saving Time only in effect here, it makes it 6.15a to 6.30a - at which point I'm already at work at my regular day job.
The net effect is that for the next three weeks, starting on this coming Monday, weekday announcements won't be posted to the website, blog, or email lists until mid-afternoon rather than the normal early morning.
The normal posting schedule should resume on 28 March.
Announcements of recent changes in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church. This blog serves as a supplement to the main Catholic-Hierarchy website. Note: this blog and the website are NOT officially sanctioned or approved by any church authority.
