Nasrallah Pierre Cardinal Sfeir, Maronite Patriarch Emeritus, has died.
He would have turned 99 on Wednesday. He had served as a cardinal for 24 years. He had also served as a priest for 69 years and as a bishop for 57 years.
May he rest in peace.
